The company's Food Safety Policy as well as its objectives are expressed as follows:
The company Andreadis Andreas, with the distinctive title FORAGE is committed to producing and standardizing packaged products of processed and preserved fruits & vegetables in full compliance with specific specifications and requirements, for the complete and continuous satisfaction of its customers, which are checked for quality and safety, before delivery to the customers
Through the harmonious cooperation of all involved factors [management, staff, partners, suppliers but especially its customers] it ensures the successful completion of its work. The company undertakes to communicate with the food chain for food safety issues.
Food safety, quality and consistency drive the business to long-term benefits, which are always more important than the short-term.
In order to satisfy the above, the company has installed and implements a certified Food Safety Management System, according to the ISO 22000-2018 standard, which includes all the processes of the company, which affect the quality and safety of food.
The Food Safety Management System is monitored, maintained and improved through inspection, assessment & review programmes. It is designed in such a way that it gives weight to prevention, but without underestimating corrective action mechanisms, when non-compliance of the Food Safety System is found in accordance with the requirements of the ISO 22000:2018 standard.
The achievement of the objectives, which derive through the Analysis of Risks and Opportunities for Improvement, is achieved through the management's commitment to compliance with European & National Legislation, compliance with market conditions and competition, with the employment of personnel appropriately trained according to the rules of Good Storage & Hygienic Practice, with auxiliary functions and with provision of the necessary resources (i.e. moral and material means), with continuous awareness and information on Food Safety issues. The more specific food safety objectives per business function are established and reviewed through Management Reviews.
All of the above guarantees compliance with the requirements for Food Safety according to the standards ELOT ΕΝ ISO 22000:2018, as well as the company's commitment to continuous improvement of the Food Safety Management System.
